🌅 My Glow Up Plan (That Has Nothing to Do with a 5 AM Wake-Up—Except When It Does)
Because this glow-up is about what works for me.

Let me just say: I am not waking up at 3:52 AM to ice roll my face, journal for an hour, and cold plunge into a perfectly curated morning.
But—I do wake up at 5 AM most days.
Not because I’m trying to prove anything, but because I’ve realized I feel better when I move my body early—before school drop-off, before the day fills up with everything else.
This version of a glow-up isn’t about hustle or perfection. It’s about building routines that mean something to me—and letting go of the ones that don’t.
✨ What My Glow-Up Really Means
This season, my glow-up isn’t about becoming someone new.
It’s about reconnecting with the version of me I actually like—the one who follows through, sets kind boundaries, and has a little extra energy left at the end of the day.
It’s about:
- Moving my body to feel strong—not smaller
- Getting serious about routines that support me
- Assessing what I really care about (and what I can let go)
- Making my home work for me—not the other way around
- Getting ready in the morning because it makes me feel good
- Resting when I need to—not when I’ve “earned” it
🧠My Real-Life Glow Up Routine (Unpolished but Sorta Powerful)
⏰ 5 AM: Movement = Sanity
When I work out in the morning, I’m more consistent, more grounded, and more patient (usually). It’s not about punishment—it’s about momentum. It’s a gift I give myself before the rest of the world wakes up.
🥗 Feeding Myself Like I Care
I freeze meals. I plan ahead, because I know how much I hate deciding what to cook every day. But I also take care to plan for ease- I know some days are going to be busy- and I also pIan for flexibility. Sometimes I’m just not the same ambitious person who planned my meals earlier in the week. I do try to keep my fridge stocked and my future self in mind.

🏠Upgrading My Space, One Corner at a Time
Painting the banister. Refreshing the patio. A little bit here and there helps. I always used to wait until I could do a WHOLE room before I’d redecorate. And I’d end up waiting forever until I got it together, and I’d be miserable because I felt like I could never have the things I wanted. Now I just do a little bit at a time that makes me happy. I’ll get to the rest eventually. This is glow-up energy. I want a home that reflects my life now, not just the to-do list I keep putting off till everything is just right.
đź’¬ Saying No So I Can Say Yes (to Myself)
I’ve been reevaluating what really matters. Where I want to spend my time. Who I want to make space for. What feels draining vs. what fills me up. That’s glow-up work too.
🧺 Keeping It Manageable
I don’t do everything perfectly—but I try to do it on purpose.
đźš« Things That Are Not Part of My Glow Up
- Perfectionism- I’m a work in progress.
- Hustling to earn rest
- Starving, restricting, or obsessing over my body
- Morning routines I copied from someone without taking my own needs into account
- Pretending I’m thriving on four hours of sleep
- Cauliflower
